LIEUTENANT GENERAL JOHN P. SULLIVAN (Ret.) BENCHMARK PRACTITIONER
Lieutenant General John P. Sullivan (Ret.) brings a depth and breadth of senior defense and global operations leadership experience to the Peake Fellowship across strategic planning, large-scale organizations, and the industrial base of the U.S. and its allies. LTG Sullivan served a distinguished career across U.S. Army and Joint Commands. His executive roles included Deputy Commander of U.S. Transportation Command; Commander of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command; and Commander of the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. He also served at the Pentagon as Director of Operations for the Army G-4, where he oversaw enterprise-level logistics, sustainment strategy, and global readiness.
LTG Sullivan’s leadership experience spans joint and multinational operations, theater-level sustainment, strategic mobility, and crisis response across the United States, Korea, the Middle East, and Europe. Known for his ability to lead complex organizations in high-pressure environments, LTG Sullivan brings a disciplined, mission-focused approach to strategy, transformation, and people development. Today, he continues to serve as a Senior Mentor with the U.S. Army's Mission Command Training Program and as a strategic advisor to organizations across the private sector. LTG Sullivan holds a BA in Political Science from Fordham University and an MS in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
